This tutorial will show you how to make your GIF's have a transparent background.
Ok here is the tag/ image you want to post in your sig area on a forum / web site

but it has the white Background there and you want to put it on a pink site here is what you need to do
......
Click on the background layer of your tag and change the background and forground to the same colour as your background in my case White

go to image Increase color Depth / RGB - 16 bits/channel

ok go to file again / palette / set Palette Transparency

And add these Settings

Click the Proff button and u will see background removed on your tag
click ok go to file and save as a GIF
MAke sure its a GIF or it wont be transparent.
